Carrying on with one's Dhikr even if he is unable to concentrate on it

Yes Akhi you should carry on and try your best to concentrate. And I advice you to do a lot of Istighfaar as it is the best amongst the general Adhkaar and it will help you to concentrate more In Sha Allah.

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته 

If the reading is so fast to the point that the reciter does not apply the rules of recitation as it should , even at the least amount, then this is what Allah عز وجل has forbidden in the Quran in His saying  { لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦۤ } " Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'an, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to make haste therewith. [ 75 : 16 ] " . Also such recitations were rejected by the companions like Ibn Masoud  رضي الله عنه  when he heard it from some reciters.

And Allah عز وجل knows best .
