I want to know what does "right hand possesses" mean in the Quran? Are they slaves? Are they only females? Are they given all the rights of a wife? Is Nikah needed in prior in order to have sexual intimacy with them or just possessing them is enough? What was the culture of Islam regarding this during the time of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم ? Did it exist at the time of Jahiliyyah and does it exist today in any part of the world? I am eager to know these things as I got struck with it whilst I went through some Aayat of Surah Al Muminoon. Forgive me if anything wrong from my side.
