Clarifications regarding the rulings of Zakat

<blockquote>السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته</blockquote><blockquote>Please explain to me the provisions of Zakat.</blockquote><blockquote>How much gold/silver is needed for Zakat ? </blockquote> <h3>Answer </h3> وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته If your silver has reached the Nisab which is 595 grams , and for gold which is 85 grams of 24 carat , and the year has passed on it , then Zakat is obligatory on both of them , and the same is the case for stored money. <blockquote>Is Zakat obligatory for things other than money such as animals , businesses , fruits of the orchard etc ? </blockquote> <h3>Answer </h3> If these things are intended for trade i.e. they are bought and sold for money , then it is like the issue of Zakat on commercial goods , and the Ulama have different views regarding it, from them who said it is obligatory like the Zakat on money and they are the majority and from them who disagree with that. <blockquote>If a person earns 24,000 in a year but because of taxes it ends up with him as 17,000, should he pay Zakat for 24,000 or 17,000 ? </blockquote> <h3>Answer</h3> There is no Zakat on salaries that the workers get unless that money is stored for a period of one year and during its storage it has reached the Nisab of Zakat. <blockquote>If I ve reached the Nisab but during that year I get more money , then do I have to pay Zakat only to the Nisab that I reached at the beginning of the year or I have to pay for every amount of wealth I have ? For example after 11 months someone gave me 5,000. So do I have to get out of that too ? </blockquote> <h3> Answer </h3> The Ulemah differed in this issue and the most correct view is the view of the one who said it depends on the additional money. If the additional money cannot be calculated apart , then the Zakat is paid on behalf of everything at the time of the first Nisab. But if the additional money can be calculated apart , then you should make a separate date for it and pay Zakat on it but the Nisab will be counted on all of it together. May Allah عز وجل reward you
