Question
Will it be considered a Bid'ah if I make Wudhu and pray two Rakah every night before going to bed ? And my intention in doing this is to implement the Hadith of Uthman رضي الله عنه seeking the reward of the one whose past sins are forgiven. I try to become consistent in this because the best deeds in the sight of Allah عز وجل are those that are done regularly as per the Hadeeth of Aisha رضي الله عنها. And I choose this time since it would be easy for me to implement this great Hadith. So will it be considered a Bidah in this case as I am setting a specific time for this Ibadah (i.e before going to bed every night) ?
Text Answer
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته This act is not considered as a Bidah. Rather it is a praiseworthy act. And we ask Allah عز وجل to make you more firm and grant you more Khair. Also, I advice you to make your Niyyah so that you are also praying it as Qiyamul Layl. By this way you will get both the rewards إن شاء الله . Because the prayer after doing Wudhu can be within any other prayers.
