Question
It is prescribed for you, when death approaches any of you, if he leaves wealth, that he makes a bequest to parents and next of kin, according to reasonable manners. (This is) a duty upon Al-Muttaqûn" [2:180]. What does this verse mean? After a person dies will his wealth automatically go to his parents as per the rules of inheritance? Is this about extra wealth that we have to give our parents?
