Our Zakat was paid in the month of Dhul Hijjah last year and we received some money during Jumada al Oola this year and we have it as savings. So how would this year’s Zakat be for this particular money? Should we pay Zakat for this accumulated money as well? The question arises because I usually hear people saying that the Zakat is to be given only when it completes one year. Also what should we do if the same scenario happens with gold?
