A brother wants to travel to the lands of the Muslims to seek knowledge in order to benefit himself while he is still young even though there are lessons in Aqidah, Qur’an etc. in his current land (UK) . He feels he’ll benefit much more by travelling and studying in the lands of the Muslims under a scholar. He lives alone with his mother (she has no other Mahram to aid her in the country) and she is currently fit and healthy and she has given her son her permission to go. But the son is worried about leaving her alone and is afraid that this affair will fall under being undutiful to his mother. What is your advise to this brother ?
