What are the prohibited times for prayers ? Can the obligatory prayers be performed in that time ? And is it permissible for voluntary prayers like Istikhaara , Tahiyyatul Masjid , Rawaatib In those times ? Also could you clarify the end of the time for the Asr prayer ?
Text Answer
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir al-Juhani رضي الله عنه said: “ There are three times at which the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade us to pray or to bury our dead : when the sun has clearly started to rise until it is fully risen, when it is directly overhead at midday until it has passed its zenith, and when the sun starts to set until it has fully set.”
And it is permissible by the consensus of the scholars to pray the obligatory prayers during these times . The times of prohibition begin after performing the prayer . Meaning , if we say after Asar it means after the Asar prayer, and if we say after Fajar it means after the Fajar prayer . So the time will start after it's prayer... so whoever didn't pray it yet means the prohibited time has not started for him yet . And Allah عز وجل knows best .
